Why brand-name numerology matters

The brand name carries a vibration. Either it works for you, or against you.

Every founder operates on a specific Chaldean Moolank — the root number from their date of birth. That number governs the energy they bring to negotiations, hiring, fundraising, customer trust and category positioning.

The brand name has its own vibration too. Each letter has a Chaldean value 1–9; the sum reduces to a single digit and maps to a planet. When the brand-name number is friendly to the founder's Moolank, the business feels effortless — partnerships click, customers refer, the right people show up at the right time.

When the numbers fight, the same business takes twice the effort for half the result. Hires don't stick. Funding rounds drag. Customer churn outpaces growth. Most founders attribute this to "execution issues" — but the energetic mismatch is upstream of execution.

How the Chaldean check works

From letters to vibration in three steps.

Step 1. Brand-name reduction

Each letter is assigned its Chaldean value:

ValueLetters
1A · I · J · Q · Y
2B · K · R
3C · G · L · S
4D · M · T
5E · H · N · X
6U · V · W
7O · Z
8F · P

Letters are summed, then reduced to a single digit. Example: "Apple" = 1+8+8+3+5 = 25, reduce to 7. Brand-name number = 7 (Ketu).

Step 2. Founder Moolank

The day of the founder's birth is reduced to a single digit. Example: someone born on the 19th has Moolank 1+9 = 10 → 1 (Sun). Someone born on the 6th has Moolank 6 (Venus).

Step 3. Compatibility score

The brand-name number is compared against the founder's Moolank using the Chaldean friendship matrix. Universally favourable brand numbers are 1, 3, 5, 6 and 9; numbers 4 and 8 are typically avoided for businesses because they slow cash-flow and attract karmic friction. The compound number (the raw sum before reduction) is then read against Cheiro's table for additional nuance.

Worked example: a Moolank 6 (Venus) founder

Brand "JET LEADS" sums to 17, reduces to 8 (Saturn). Saturn fights Venus. The brand-name number is in the cautioned set (8). Compound 26 reads "Partnerships Bring Loss · Ruin". Total alignment: 5%.

Same brand, tightened to "JET LEAD" — sums to 13, reduces to 4 (Rahu). Still cautioned. Try a different brand entirely, or use the founder-friendly targets (6, 3, 5) when brainstorming.

Frequently asked

Common questions about business-name numerology.

What is business name numerology?

Business name numerology is the practice of choosing a brand name whose numerical vibration supports the founder's birth-energy. In the Chaldean system — the oldest and most accurate — every letter has a value 1–9, and the sum reduces to a single digit that maps to a planet. When the brand's number is friendly to the founder's Moolank, the business attracts smoother growth, better partnerships and stronger word-of-mouth.

How is the Chaldean business name calculation done?

Each letter of the brand name is assigned its Chaldean value. The values are summed; the total is reduced to a single digit. That digit (the brand-name number) is checked against the founder's Moolank for compatibility using the Chaldean friendship matrix.

Which numbers are lucky for business names?

Brand names that reduce to 1, 3, 5, 6 or 9 are universally favourable. Numbers 4 and 8 are typically avoided for new ventures because they slow cash flow. The exact best target depends on the founder's Moolank — for a Moolank 6 (Venus) founder, the strongest brand numbers are 6, 3 and 5.

Should I rename my existing business?

A full rebrand is rarely needed. Many businesses can shift their vibration through a phonetic respelling that preserves pronunciation but changes the Chaldean sum — for example, "Destiny" (sum 23, brand 5) becoming "Destiiny" (sum 24, brand 6, Compound 24: Love · Money · Creative Power). Our free tool generates these variants instantly.

What are lucky days to launch a business?

Use dates whose digit-sum matches your founder Moolank. For example, if you are a Moolank 1 (Sun) founder, dates 1, 10, 19 and 28 of any month amplify your energy for incorporation, contract signings, product launches and major announcements.

Does the legal entity name matter, or only the brand?

Both carry vibration, but the public-facing brand name has the greater impact on customer-side energy (sales, referrals, press). The legal entity name affects internal operations (banking, contracts, partnerships). For most founders, optimising the brand first delivers the most visible result.

Is this the same as Pythagorean or Western numerology?

No. Pythagorean numerology assigns letters in alphabetical sequence (A=1, B=2, C=3 … Z=8). Chaldean assigns by sound vibration rather than position — A=1 but B=2, C=3, D=4, but F=8 (not 6), O=7 (not 6). Cheiro's body of work, considered the foundational text, is strictly Chaldean. Most authentic Indian numerology practice uses Chaldean.
